What this site collects

Two things, and nothing else: what you send us through the enquiry form, and a count of which pages are read. There is no advertising pixel, no embedded map, no social widget, and no script from any other company on any page of this website. Nothing you do here is reported to anyone else.

When you write to us

The enquiry form records your name, email address, telephone number and company where you give them, the message itself, and a shortened form of your network address with the last part removed. It is stored in this website’s own database and emailed to us. We keep it for as long as we may reasonably need it to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation.

Counting page views

This website counts its own visitors. It is not Google Analytics or any other outside service, and the figures never leave our database.

For each page view we record the page, the site you arrived from, a rough description of your device and browser, how long the page was open, and your network address with its last part replaced by a zero. Alongside that we store a one-way code, made by combining the shortened address with a secret value held only on the server. That code lets us tell one visitor from two without knowing who either of them is: it cannot be turned back into an address, and changing the secret makes every code already stored meaningless.

We do not record your full network address at any point, and we delete these rows after ninety days. Search-engine crawlers are excluded, and so is anyone signed in to the site’s own administration panel.

Cookies

No cookie is set for advertising or tracking. The only cookie this site sets is the sign-in cookie for its own administration panel, which is set when a member of staff signs in and is required for that panel to work at all.

Fonts and assets

Typefaces are served from this website’s own domain. They are not requested from a font content delivery network, so no third party is told which pages you visit.

If you believe we hold information about you and would like to see it, correct it or have it removed, write to us using the contact details on this site and we will respond.
